Rinne close to NHL ready

Barry Trotz has let it slip that Rinne may return to the ice at some point during this home stand.  He is currently in Milwaukee where he will likely start on Friday and again on Sunday should he feel prepared to.  Following Sunday the Admirals have a 4 day off-period that may be tabbed for Rinne's return to Nashville.  Predators fans rejoice, we may see the Fin back between the pipes as early as next weekend! What impact will this have on Nashville's playoff hopes? Only time will tell...

  1. Do you think that they will be able to make the playoffs by the end of the year this season with Rinne back in the line up? Also, what if any thing do you think the Preds will do before the trade deadline?

  2. I think if the Predators can keep their energy up and continue to compete with their blue collar, grinding style of play they will move up the standings. March and April are consistently their best months and with their second best, or best depending on who you ask, returning to the ice and lighting a fire under Carter Hutton, I say yes to Nashville in the playoffs. I expect them to move some older players from their lower lines (hopefully not Legwand) to bring in some draft picks or young players. Poile loves potential development projects and there are enough assets in Milwaukee to make up for the losses.
